An icon of three sanctifiers (Gregory the Theologian, John Chrysostom, Basil the Great) in casing.

Oil on wood panel. Repousse and engraved 84 standard silver casing, decorated with polychrome enamel and strasses. Marked with: "woman"s head turning to the left", "…OANS" in Latin letters. 30,5х27. In the state of fair preservation. The painting itself as a casing undoubtedly belong to 60-s of the XIX century. In this regard the mark of 1899-1908 is quite inexplicable. Possibly in chronology it relates to the period when the casing was enlarged with wreathes and handcraft made enamel colours. The wreathes are noncurrent to the casing, but however are original in the own way and certainly relate to the pre-revolutionary period. Strasses at the saints books - are also further adjunct. The traces of soldering are at the wreathes and strassess. The wreath at the image of Sudarium is missing.
