A forged, brass, wooden, leather and steel pioneer dagger in scabbard, the sample of 1827year style.

Blade length with hilt – 67,0 sm; blade length – 49,5 sm; length of scabbard – 54,0 sm; blade width at bolster – 5,5 sm. At the guard the date «1831» and producing marks «ТМ» «АС» stroke. In 1827 an engineering dagger of 1797 year style, which was used in pioneer and engineering battalions, was interchanged by the present sample. In 1834 it was withdrawn from operational status. Russia, 1831. The present dagger executed by Russian gunsmiths" in 1831 has a certain historical and cultural value and could be a worthy supplement to private and museum collections alike.
