The treatise by the noted orientalist Boris Andreevich Dorn (1805 - 1881) focuses on the collection of the Russian coin collector Ivan Bartolomey, who was the first person to form a collection of Sassanidian and Arsakhidian coins. Text in French, 32 engraved tables, lithograped portrait of the general on frontispiece. Leather corners and gold-stamped spine, coloured paper, mottled endpaper. 30х22.5сm., in good condition: bindings rubbed, red rust stains on paper, traces of removed stamps. The edition is of importance to collectors.
