Imperial eagle in shield against the background of two crowned shields, lion head and flower on guard, front quillon decorated with floral pattern. Pommel decorated with foliage pattern and trophies. Ribbed ebony grip. France, 2nd half 19th century. The sword is a fine antique arm of historical importance.
