Blade length 21.3cm.; width at bolster 1.7cm.; length with grip 31.5cm.; overall length 34cm. Four-sided double-edged steel blade. Both sides of the bolster stamped with maker"s mark "ЗиК". Crossguard. Octagonal plug. Octagonal plastic grip. Octagonal pommel with a screw in the form of an encirculated star. USSR emblem on the front of the pommel. Leather-covered wooden scabbard. Gilt brass fittings. Anchor, wreathed five-pointed star and Air Force emblem with sunbeams on the front of the throat. Sailing ship, Kremlin and flying airplane on the inner side. USSR, 1940-50s. The cutlasses are fine antique arms of historical importance.
