59 drawings of regimental colours, late 19th-early 20th century. Those are official regimental colours in the Russian Army.
In 1883, Alexander III set a new pattern of colours absolutely different from 1796-1883 patterns and resembling old Russian flags. Drawings from 1884-92 are partly featured in this series. In 1896 Emperor Nicholas II made new changes to colours" patterns. This series contains drawings of 1897-1903. All the designs have been approved and signed by Adjutant Generals P. Vannovsky, N. Obruchev, Sakharov, Lieutenant General А. Kuropatkin. All leaves have shop stamps in Cyrillic "Магазина образцов техн.ком.гл.инт.упр.воен.минист." and labels "Отдел Рисунков и чертежей №..." [Department of Drawings and Designs #...]. The drawings are made in Russian style on white cardboard. The text is calligraphically written in ink. All the drawings are in good condition: slight staining, tear to upper left corner of the drawing of 23 May 1883.
