The translation was carried out by a group of people who accompanied Catherine II during her Volga trip in 1768: I. Elagin, S. Kozmin, G. Orlov, D. Volkov and others. Catherine II participated in translating the book too. Engraved headpieces and vignettes. Full leather bindings, blind-stamped spine, all edges tinted, 19х12сm., in satisfactory condition: spine partly missing, owner"s inscriptions on endpapers, minor staining to pages. The edition is of importance to collectors. Rare.
