A journey to Turkmenia and Khiva in 1819 and 1820, made by Guard General Headquarters captain Nikolay Muraviev who was sent to these countries for negotiations.
In 2 parts. P.1-2. М.: A.Semen"s printing office, 1822. 4 unnumbered pages, VII, 5-179, 4 unnumbered pages, 5-144, 4 unnumbered pages. A work of a public figure, the governor of Caucasus, a member of State Council Nikaly Muraviev-Karsky (1794-1866). In 1817 he was in service at A.P.Ermolov in Persia and Caucasus, then made a journey to Khiva. The book includes an engraved Atlas. Both parts arte bound in one book. Full calico binding of 70-s of the ХХth century, with gold-stamping along spine and blind-stamping at upper cover. Engraved vignettes. 23,8х20,5 sm, in a good condition: minor defects of title paper in P.1, pencil notes, stains, Atlas is missing. The book has a historical value.- Год продажи лота: 2005
