Featron or historical disgrace... collected through William Strateman.

St.Petersburg: printed in the Trinity Alexander Nevsky Monastery, 1724. 482 sheets, engraved title page. The issue was 1200 samples. William Stratemman (1629-1684) - bishop of Osnabruck, divided the history in 10 "outcomes" for 400 years in each. The translation of the book, introductory article to the reader and devotion to Peter I and Ekaterina Alekseevna was written Gabriel Buzhinsky. At Peter I"s successors period "Featron" was suppressed as a book in which "rather bad speeches are published". Later the book was allowed for printing but the devotion and translation was extracted. Full leather binding with blinds over spine. 33х21,5 sm, in a satisfactory condition: rubbings, stains, minor restoration of pages and binding. The book is worthy for historians. The samples with introduction and devotion are very rare.
