Russia, provincial region, first half of the XVIII century. A minor tinted insertion at the forehead and lower left corner of the beard. Small tinted parts at the clothes, a good preservation of the periphery, including margins. A symbolic icon-painting of old Russian art, invented in Russia and preserved backwash of ancient cults. A functional meaning of the icon is patronizing, protection of city, church or domicile. Bright colours, effected ornaments emphasize a folk motive in the image intonations.
