"Natural History (General and Particular), with the description of the king"s cabinet" by French natural scientist J. de Buffon (1707-1788) and French naturalist L. Dobanton (1716-1800). The "History" was published for 40 years from 1716 to 1788. The book features 54 copper plate engravings, engraved headpieces and vignettes. Compound bindings: leather corners and giltstamped spine, coloured paper. Bookplate of count Mikhail Semenov affixed to front endpaper. 24.5х19сm., in good condition: wear to binding, spine partly missing, minor staining on pages. The edition is of interest to book collectors.
