St. Petersburg, Common Good partnership, no publication date [1893-1895]. Fundamental treatise by Russian historian Sergey Solovyev (1820-1879). The first edition of the History of Russia from the Earliest Times was published from 1851 and later on won him glory all over Russia and Europe. Volume 29 (the last one) ending with Catherine II"s reign (the year 1775) was published after the author"s death, in 1879. All the volumes are bound into 6 books and provided with a separate index. Compound bindings: leather corners, giltstamped spine, calico, patterned endpapers and edges. Bookplate of A.Kosyakov library stamped on title page of book 5; index in full calico bindings. 23х15.3сm., in good condition: wear to spine, minor tear to leaves. The edition is of historical importance.
